It is hard to single out the best thing about staying at Number 1 the Ngunguns. It is a beautiful two bedroom apartment, with a lovely kitchen, spacious bathroom and a pretty outside area where you can sit outside on the deck and listen to the surf. The beds are extremely comfortable and the main bedroom is air-conditioned (which is a big thing on a warm Queensland night). The apartment is stylish and modern, there’s a secure garage with remote roller door (there are a couple of bicycles and boogie boards that you’re welcome to use, although we didn’t but loved the gesture) and there’s side access to the apartment with a shower to wash off the sand from the beach. You can be on Dicky Beach in a couple of minutes using the little path beside the units and we loved being so close to a patrolled beach, the Dicky Beach Surf Lifesaving Club and the Dicky Beach shops (Clancy’s for the win for it’s fish and chips and burgers!), as well as an off-leash dog park where we walked our dog each day. Checking in was made very easy and I loved the welcome pack and walk around. I could not recommend Beachhouse Accom highly enough and if I had a holiday home, I would be putting it in Charmaine and Nicole’s hands in a heartbeat. Would definitely book again with Beachhouse Accom and look forward to revisiting Number 1 the Ngunguns again one day. ***** thank you, Kerry, Matthew & Gizmo

'The unit was very clean and tidy and well set up. I particularly enjoyed the patio which had a large awning and was accessible through 2 large screen doors, which meant that our puppy could sit and sleep out there and still feel close to us. The hosts were easy to communicate with and replied to my messages quickly. Though I would have liked to be slightly closer to more restaurants and cafes, I liked that it was only a couple of minutes walk to get to flagged beaches. The street was lovely and quiet. It was overall a lovely weekend and I highly recommend staying here if you are heading to Dicky Beach.

'We loved our stay here. Plenty of space for the kids and the dogs. A lovely little area to sit out the front and BBQ while having a drink. Comfy beds. Clean bathrooms. Kitchen had pretty much all we needed. Can't recommend enough! Thanks so much for having us. We loved our stay.'

'Great spot! Cool, clean and super comfortable. Sundeck and small grassed yard enjoyed my our pups. Location was nice and quiet. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook at home and having a full working laundry was even better! Would 100% recommend staying here. Thanks so much for having us!'

'We absolutely loved staying in Dicky Beach, the apartment was very spacious, clean and in a great location with many things in walking distance. We also loved being able to bring our dog along who loved the outdoor area of the apartment, it was also great to be only a 15 min walk from the off-leash dog beach. We would definitely stay here again!'

'The Beachhouse was so comfy and it was handy having the beach so close behind us. Having a lock up garage was handy. It was worth paying a bit extra for linen too. Nice and quiet although there is alot of construction going on around the place so it could be noisy during the week. It didn’t bother us as we were enjoying Dicky beach. There are beautiful walks along the coastline too. The apartment is close to the local shops. I would recommend The Pocket which is located at Moffat beach which was a nice walk from Dicky beach. Their coffee and food was amazing, and views were gorgeous. Thank you for a lovely long weekend and for all the small little touches like the yummy timtams, tea, and mentos you left when we arrived. :)

We had a great stay; it was a clean, well-equipped place and only a 2-minute walk to the beach. We were initially going to stay over Christmas, but I contracted Covid and had to cancel at the last minute; the team were very accommodating with the rescheduling. (side note) The garage is great to keep the beach toys locked up at night.

This place was perfect for a weekend getaway! Very quiet little location, with everything close enough by that you could access it. Would highly recommend and will hopefully be returning!

Great unit in a top location at Dicky Beach. Suited our family of 4 perfectly. Lots of space. We felt very comfortable here for our week long stay. Made use of the boogie boards in the garage.

A great location, nice size home and close to the beach. The best part of all is that it was dog friendly so that we could bring our furry friends on holidays. Recommend booking next time you want to head to the coast with your family and pets.

Location fabulous, close to walking beach side path and beach , restaurants, supermarket, Surf Club. Most of alll so very happy we could take our little dog in a very secure environment. A very pet friendly area.

This apartment was perfect for me, hubby, 2 boys (13 & 10) and jack Russell x dog. It has such a homely feeling as soon as we walked in and is super convenient to fantastic dog beaches, parks, cafes and restaurants. Would love to come back for another holiday one day soon!

Exceeded expectations! When they say it’s a short walk to the beach…it’s very short. Beach is at the end of the driveway. Could literally throw a stone over to dicky beach surf club it’s that close. So much to do around us without being overly busy and loud. Having a yard and an undercover outdoor patio was amazing for us. We loved every part of our stay at The Ngunguns residence! Especially the TWO toilets…if you have boys, you’ll understand. This place had everything you would need when visiting a home away from home. I didn’t need to purchase anything “extra” from the shops that I may have needed to use to pack, cook (utensils and cookware), or clean with. I highly recommend this place…as much as I don’t want to because I want it available to me every time I come up haha Nicola was also great with communication! If I haven’t said it enough, this place is amazing! We enjoyed every minute of it.

Our stay at Dicky beach was just perfect. The townhouse was so well equipped and so close to the beach. The kitchen and bathroom were huge with everything we could have needed. The little deck and grassed and fenced backyard was perfect for our two little pups. Would have to be the best pet friendly accommodation we have ever stayed at. We will definitely be back. Thank you for such a wonderful stay.

Fantastic place and host. If you wanted to get away with just parking the car and not driving anywhere for a few days, its all possible in a short walk or bike ride from this spot. Whales at sunrise (travelling south to Antarctic waters the time we were there), surf club lunch, coastal bikeway, great surf and swimming spots, and some trendy cafes and a well stocked small IGA. For kids, skate park, play ground and nature play options keep them busy....you are in the centre of some of the coasts best spots here. The grassed courtyard is a real bonus for washing down gear and yourself! Classic Smeg appliances and a well appointed kitchen made cooking meals at home easy.

Our stay at Dicky Beach was terrific. The unit was excellent and just as described in the listing, perfect for our family of four and small cavoodle dog. Even with some wet weather days we did not feel crowded and locked up within the space. Being on the ground floor with the side gate entry to the small yard and deck perfect for the clean up when returning from the beach. Clothes line and outdoor shower were side by side so easy for sorting out the sand and salt. Location is awesome! 100m from the surf club, 2 min walk to the swimming flags one way, 4 min stroll to the access to the dog beach and the coastal path walking path out the back gate…brilliant! The shops at Dicky Beach are a short stroll just beyond the Surf Club with a cool selection of cafe and an IGA for eat in or take away. Our host Nicola was terrific with before and during stay communications - very clear directions and welcoming on check in. Highly recommend the unit and the stay at Dicky Beach and the Ngunguns!

Lovely clean unit doggy friendly unit with everything you need for a very comfortable stay. The kitchen is well stocked with crockery, cutlery, glass wear, and cooking appliances. The position is fantastic, so close to everything, easy walking distance to surf club, cafes, restaurants, patrolled and leash free doggy friendly beaches and lovely foreshore paths for walking, running, cycling and parks for family outings. The outdoor area with side gate entry is an added bonus for your four legged family member.
